African Joy
Mukana Press is accepting African stories that radiate joy for their 2024 Anthology of African Writing. Stories can be from any genre but should be between 1000 - 8000 words. Selected writers will be paid $500 each.

Documentary Filmmakers
The Matatu Film Residency is focused on supporting emerging and established East African documentary filmmakers in developing feature-length projects. Eligible countries are Burundi, DR Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.

Grants for Ghanaian Visual Artists
The Africa Prime Initiative invites emerging Ghanaian drafters, painters, photographers and sculptors aged 18 - 35 to apply for a $2,000 grant. Selected artists will also be commissioned to exhibit artwork at Gallery Soview in Accra.

Reviewers & Critics
Aspiring and established reviewers and critics are invited to submit book/music/movie reviews to The Lagos Review. Payment is $50 per article.

Sprinng Writing Fellowship
The Sprinng Writing Fellowship is open to young writers aged 18-25 who are Nigerian, Ghanaian, Liberian or South African citizens and reside in those countries. Selected participants will be paired up with mentors and tutored in the following 6 genres of literature: Poetry, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Drama, Book Reviews, and Blogging.

Taoyuan International Art Award
Artists from around the world are encouraged to enter new and original artwork for the 2025 Taoyuan International Art Award. Selected artists will receive sponsorship to exhibit their work at the Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan and will be eligible for prizes ranging from €5,850 to €17,500.

Turn Your Art to Wallpaper
